Dear friends,
We would like to thank you for your patience during the evaluation of Round 1.
The process took longer than anticipated due to the large number of photographs to review and some initial delays in coordinating all our judges. However, we are happy to inform you that just a few hours ago, we finalized collecting all the score sheets and can now proceed with tallying the final results.
This leads us to the next stage: IOIO-2025 Round 2 will be launched on Wednesday.
The start time on Wednesday will be flexible (it could be in the morning or evening, depending on our final readiness). We need this time to prepare our servers, test the upload systems, and complete other necessary technical preparations to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
So, please get ready! We believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the tasks. We′ve prepared a diverse set of challenges, and we are confident that every participant will find models to their liking.
Stay tuned for the official start of Round 2!
Best regards,
The IOIO Team

Andrey Ermakov talked about it here: https://origami.expert/forum/members/ioio-models/2025-1-zijin-grass/1/#post-11
It′s your personal appreciation of the model.
Waiting for the results and really looking forward to Round 2. Wishing the very best to everyone, hope we all get good news soon!
Wow, Round 2 looks like it’s going to be really exciting and challenging! especially Task 16!
Dear origamists, friends, and supporters of the art of paper folding,
The second round of the International Origami Internet Olympiad (IOIO-2025) has officially begun today!
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to every participant of the first round. The sheer volume and exceptional quality of the submitted photographs presented our international jury with an immense and inspiring challenge.
After a meticulous review of works, all participants who received a vote from at least one jury member have advanced to Round 2.
To those whose journey in the competition has concluded this year, we offer our sincere respect and best wishes for your future creative tournaments. Every model presented in the first round was a testament to world-class skill and artistry, making the selection process incredibly difficult.
About Round 2: Strategy and Mastery. The tasks in this round have been intentionally designed with elevated complexity. This approach serves a specific purpose: to provide a diverse field where participants of all levels can devise their most effective strategy. Victory will be determined not just by folding the most models, but by accumulating the highest total score from the jury′s assessment across all tasks. Choose your path wisely—focus on quantity, complexity, or a balanced mix to maximize your points.
The jury will evaluate your submissions, and the overall champions of IOIO-2025 will be determined by the sum of these scores.
We wish all current participants the best of luck, immense patience, and smooth, enjoyable folding. May your paper reveal its secrets effortlessly.
Let the second round begin!
With respect and admiration,
The IOIO Team
